Hey guys. Just wanted to mention that my manuscript entitled Preservations was shortlisted for the Fresh Fish Award for Emerging Writers here in Newfoundland. Coupled with this, it will be published in book form by Nightwood Editions in the coming year to year and a half.

I wanted to mention this since some of the poems were workshopped here. So thanks to those who helped out.

Regards,
Steve

Congratulations, Stephen! Wonderful news.

(Non-met people, is this a first--a full-length book by a Sphere participant who does mainly Non-met? I'll probably embarrass myself by asking this....)

I love the name "Fresh Fish Award"! It sounds so fresh and lively, it makes me want to buy the book.
Congrats!

I was shortlisted once for the "Day Old Fish Award," but it's significantly less prestigious. And sometimes you need antibiotics...

Congratulations, Stephen. Since it's the Fresh Fish Award, you should publish the collection under the pseudonym, stephen roe.

Steve, that is so impressive. So happy to see some Non-Met style poetry getting well-deserved recognition.

Huzzah, huzzah!

Those accomplishments are no small feats. Congratulations!

Thanks guys! I now I'm relatively new to the Eratosphere group, but you guys have been immensely helpful and I want to acknowledge that.

I guess not it's time to start promoting myself and the future book http://www.ablemuse.com/erato/ubbhtml/tongue.gif. (blah)
