I just saw that Russell Edson died this past week. Wonderful writer. He'll be missed. Check out the recordings of him reading (in Amherst, Mass., 1979), here. At that same page, there's a link to an interview with him.

Yes, thanks for the link, Janice. Edson’s prose sometimes reads like Francis Ponge on acid.
