X.J. Kennedy Parody Award

And once again, in the X.J. Kennedy Parody Award from Measure, the Sphere cleans up! Big congratulations to Marion Shore, Tony Barnstone, and Richard Meyer times 2! A link to the official announcement is here.

Congratulations to all! (And Go, Sphere!) And wow, heck of a banner year for Richard.

Michael Juster 09-02-2014 08:53 AM

Belmont, Massachusetts, the epicenter of the formal poetry movement, rules again!

Orwn Acra 09-02-2014 10:05 AM

Congratulations!

Susan McLean 09-02-2014 11:53 AM

Congratulations, Marion! And the finalists are pretty impressive too. I look forward to reading the parodies.

Congratulations, especially to Marion. And I'll have two more things to congratulate Richard on when I see him accept his String Poet award a few weeks from now.

(I've been missing the announcements of this contest -- seems I last entered in 2012. I take it that the new deadline announced in the link page has a typo, and that the next deadline is May 2015, not May 2014?)

Richard Meyer 09-02-2014 03:52 PM

Thanks for the nod, Maryann. I saw your announcement here this morning before I opened my e-mail and found the notification from Rob Griffith. I'm delighted to be in the company of Marion and Tony.

Thanks, everyone, for your kind remarks and recognition.

Richard

Great news, Marion, Tony and Richard! You do us all proud.

Tony Barnstone 09-03-2014 09:20 AM

Thanks, all! I do love Measure. That's a mag that does things right. Very good company to keep. Congrats to Richard and Marion!

Marion Shore 09-03-2014 11:10 AM

Thank you all! I never expected this, as I don't consider myself particularly funny! (Except unintentionally, of course). Congrats to Tony and Richard!
