Helen Schaible Sonnet Contest

Barbara Eaton just called to tell me that I won third prize in this year's Helen Schaible Sonnet Contest. My entry was a variation on my Bake-Off sonnet that came in fourth, so I've moved up a step. (I think I will spend my $15 on a bottle of B&B).

The final results, which I received today, show that our Chris O'Carroll was among the "Special Recognitions" for his sonnet "Something Like an Apology."
