Lia Cook

Interesting, frustrating that one can't be in the gallery and get the full effect.

Yes, Ross. I learned about Lia Cook from a TV program recently and they were talking about the science experiments she is participating in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDa2okQd7BM
They put sensors on her head while she was working and they put sensors on people's heads when they were viewing and...here's the interesting part...The viewers had different brainwaves if they were allowed to touch the work. Later, when Lia saw the graphic depiction of the brainwaves on the scientist's screen she started to put these lines in her work. Does that make it a type of feedback loop? This is just a video combining them, but she has done some weavings with both the portraits and the charts combined. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2beFiGjn-0 |
