Atavic Poetry with new villanelle
 

The formal-friendly website Atavic Poetry has posted one of my poems, "Dark Phoenix," a villanelle which was workshopped here. Not only raw ego, but I actually like the website, and posting this helps promote it. The editor publishes each poem with photos she selects, each poem starting as a featured poem on the top of the home page for a time (I think a week), after which it still remains but scrolling down. Other Spherians have had poems published there occasionally.

Thought-provoking and well-constructed. I especially like "Can we just put off / an hour, a day, a crest or two, a trough . . . ?"
