Another London gathering: 23rd October
 

Hi all,

I'm very happy to tell you that the lovely Melissa Balmain and her Dad will be at our next Spherean get-together in London. Because of their availability, we've arranged Friday 23rd October at our usual meeting place, Strada, for lunch at 1pm.

Several of you who usually attend these happy gatherings couldn't make it last time, so I do hope you can come to this one, along with anyone else who'd like to join us, of course.

I can't wait to see Melissa again, and if you haven't met her now's your chance! :D We'll have a marvellous afternoon.

Jayne, thanks so much for putting this together. It will be wonderful to see you again--and as I mentioned, I would love to finally meet some more UK Sphereans in person!

I shall do my best to come. I have never met Melissa. And the food wasn't half bad last time.

I've never met either John or Melissa, but you two are definitely kindred spirits, and I'm somehow delighted by the idea that you'll be meeting each other.

I'm bumping this thread as it's only a week till we meet in London again.

Sorry, it's our annual 'retreat' at work. We retreat to the lecture theatre and are prisoners to lectures and team-building exercises for 10 hours a day. I'd chew off my own foot to have lunch with you instead.

I wish I could nip over for the occasion, Jayne. Of course, you and I met in Paris (and you're welcome any time), but it would have been nice to meet Melissa and John - I'm always delighted to meet anyone who makes me laugh.

I feel very lucky to have met your sometime regulars (a contradiction in terms?) John and Gregory in NY (and David at WC), but will painfully miss being there. I've met Melissa too in NY, but too briefly (assuming it was not an impostor). It's the long hours on cramped plane seats that are really difficult at this point, not to mention the expense. Have a grand and convivial haruspicy!
