New Book, Pulp Sonnets, in Print!
 

Hi Friends,

If you click here you will find a page where my big book of sonnets, Pulp Sonnets can be purchased from Tupelo Press. It hit print several days ago and instantly sold out the few copies Amazon.com bought, silly them, but is available at Tupelo directly and with Amazon once they restock.

This is the book I've been working on for 20 years, and many of the poems (notably the long alien-invasion zombie sequence :)) have been generously workshopped by the folks here at the Sphere.

It's an attempt to find ways of writing serious poetry about apparently unserious things--comic books, B movies, pulp fiction, Gothic literature, sensation novels, spy fiction, etc.

The whole thing is printed full color, offset, so that the illustrations on every page by Amin Mansouri can shine. The book's been designed as a kind of graphic novel, with splash page chapter covers and bleed-edge art. The designer did an amazing job!
