Thank you, friends. Another reader referred me to a recent article in the Wall Street Journal about the pampered cats of Istanbul. This is a happy change from when I was there in 1996, and saw many street cats who had had their tails amputated. So Turkey is back on my Good Places list, along with Japan where you can drink your tea and pet felines in a Cat Cafe.

"To count the cats in Zanzibar" sound so good that I am not surprised that Gail made a stellar poem from it. I've noticed cats in many different countries, too, but have never looked at them in quite this way. Delightful poem.
