SFPA 2015 Contest
I was, naturally, thrilled when I read this email notice this morning.
It is with great pleasure that I inform you that your poem "Comet Elm” placed 3rd in the long form category of the SFPA 2015 Contest. Congratulations! (I’ll let you know when they put the poem up on their website.) |
Congratulations, Martin! However, with respect, I think you need a publicist. That SFPA would not be the Southern Forest Product Association, or even the San Francisco Paralegal Association, but the esteemed Science Fiction Poetry Association -- quite a feather in your cap. I'll be looking forward to seeing the poem, someday soon, I hope.
Best, Ed |
Thanks, Ed! It would be great if we all had a publicist. Those other SFPAs always come up first on Google. So thanks for the link to the real website.
The poems are up now. (“The Comet Elm" is the last one on the page.) http://www.sfpoetry.com/contests/15contest.html By the way, Lesley Wheeler was the judge. Here’s her essay entitled “On judging and being judged.” http://lesleywheeler.org/2015/10/07/...-being-judged/ |
