Eratosphere Administrator Announcement
 

Dear Eratosphereans,

She’s been active at various stages and levels of Eratospheredom, and it's a fitting time for her to climb to the well-earned top rung as our very own, brand new Eratosphere Administrator. If you're still wondering who--she is ... drum rolls!!! ... Jayne Osborn.

Jayne Osborn, a retired secondary school teacher, has taught Math and Creative Writing in a men’s prison. Her work has appeared in many magazines and anthologies. She regularly wins prizes for poetry in UK publications such as The Spectator and The Oldie and Literary Review, and she has also won six awards from The National Association of Writers’ Groups. She has judged numerous poetry competitions and is best known for her humorous poems, which she has been reading to audiences for the past fifteen years.

Jayne has been an asset to the Sphere and, generous with her time, skills and intellect. I urge everyone to lend her your support to make writing, reading and surfing at the Sphere an even more stimulating and productive experience.

Join me in giving a big Eratosphere welcome and congratulations to Jayne!

It's not very often that I'm at a loss for words (ask my husband!) but this came as a very big surprise.

Now that I've recovered from the shock I want to thank you, Alex, for giving me this honour; I'm delighted, and will continue to do what I can for the good of the Sphere, from my side of The Pond.
