Fiat Lux: A Petition and Pledge

We, the undersigned, feel that the burden of providing translation for foreign-language passages and phrases should fall upon the Eratosphereans who post such items.

Furthermore, we, the undersigned, agree to take responsibility for making violators of this principle aware of it via PM (personal message) or email. The discreet nature of these notifications could result in the violator receiving a barrage of them.

* * * * *

All those in favor, please post the following below:
1. either "Let there be light," "Enough already!", or a vigorous affirmative, in any language or dialect (italics optional)
2. in parentheses, an English translation of Item #1 between quotation marks or inverted commas, plus the name of that language or dialect
3. your own first name, translated into that other language if you like

Example:

Fiat lux ("Let there be light" in Latin)
Iulia

Et ego te absolvo a peccatis tuis, Ioannes, sed peccator solus non eras. ("And I absolve you from your sins, John, but you weren't the only sinner" in Latin)
