August 1 at the Emily Dickinson House
 

The Emily Dickinson House in Amherst, Massachusetts, hosts a reading on the first Thursday of each month. I will be the featured reader on August 1. (Or 1 August, for any British friends who might be flying across the pond for the event.)

The open mic portion of the evening starts at 6:00 p.m., and the feature usually goes on around 6:45, depending on how many open mic readers sign up that month. (Sign-ups begin at 5:00, so come early and grab yourself a spot on the list.)

Indeed yes. The house sells or used to sell a refrigerator magnet with that line on it and a portrait of the lady.
