An interesting take on a tragic story. I grew up fifty miles northeast of Centralia, in the Wyoming Valley (Wilkes-Barre) where -- on certain days when the wind was blowing a certain way -- you could smell the Laurel Run mine fire as well as other culm-bank fires year-round.
