Potato Soup Journal
Although I know there was talk here of only posting links to pieces published in worthy journals, although I don't think the poster designated a full list of worthy journals, I wanted to post the link to this one-paragraph piece in a little journal because I think it's nice little bite and it takes about 45 seconds to read.

I enjoyed that, and would not have seen it if you had been vain enough about your humility to be stopped by the very remote possibility of having a few people think you were vain by posting this. Thanks.

I enjoyed that too. I read it the other day, and I love 'prouder than Christmas decorations'. I love how it balances surreal with real, just gently rocking me off-balance while I'm reading it.
I wonder what a 'worthy journal' is. I also wonder 'who defines worthy' and what kind of knowledge-structures that perpetuates. And pragmatically, where the artist's book and the zine stand. Anyway, things that start off small and kind, or pushing at boundaries tend to get gentrified, like cities, in the end. Either way, I like the poem very much. Sarah-Jane |
