StAnza Open Mic
 

This year the Friday night Open Mic at StAnza (a poetry festival held in St Andrews, Scotland) is being held in the main auditorium of the Byre Theatre. I'm due on with a 5-minute slot around 10pm.

It can be followed online, and it's free, but you have to book in advance.

Sounds great.

When I spent my junior year of college at St. Andrews, the English curriculum didn't include any poets who were not born by 1900, or so it seemed to me. I did, however, get to do a semester on Old English, which I couldn't have done back in my college in the US. I'm glad to see they now have poetry festivals with real live poets.
