Ecotone French repeating forms call, deadline extended
Friends, I've received an email from Anna Lena Phillips Bell, the editor of Ecotone, asking me to let you know that the magazine's call for French repeating forms like the ballade, rondeau, and rondel has extended its deadline to October 31. More information about that submission call is here.
(And a reminder: you can use Eratosphere's search function to look for threads and posts about those forms and find instruction or inspiration.) |
Thanks, Maryann. I did get my submission in a few minutes before the old deadline....
As always, checking out the venue's mission and previously published poems is a good idea. Ecotone publishes poems that celebrate a sense of place (defined in very loose terms), so entries should have some sort of connection to that as well as being in one of the rarer French repeating forms. The rubric for this issue gives the very strong impression that they're a bit weary of villanelles and triolets. |
I too got my poems in by the original deadline, so I don't think I can submit any more. But thanks for getting the word out, Maryann. I hope others will have the fun of trying some of the more obscure French repeating forms.
