DEADLOCK: An Election Story

.
By far, the best piece of American electoral politics discussion I've seen/heard in, well, forever. It is not hyperbole to say that this is a must see. The stakes are that high. It's compelling.
The opening introduction by chief justices Amy Barrett and Sonia Sotomayor is, in and of itself, reason to entertain the hope that our American political culture, though in extreme turmoil, is alive and well. Or am I dreaming?

Please watch.

Editing back in to say it looks like this is not viewable outside US. I'll keep looking.

Back again. After Roger balked at hearing the name Amy Barrett (I can completely understand why) I looked for additional links to familiarize those interested with what this program is about and what it accomplishes.
I found a 3-minute segment of the program. Here it is.

(Full disclosure: This program does not negate my concerns about what might happen the next few weeks and beyond. It only buoys them for the moment as I hope for the best. I‘ll settle for less, but I fear the worst.)

I think that link doesn't work in UK, Jim. Any other ways of watching?

Hi Jim,
Yes, it's the same for me, as with Joe. I hope we can get to see what you were wanting us to see!

All the best,
Jayne

I haven't watched it, but I know enough about Barrett to be certain that she does not represent hope for the future. Sure, she's not quite as bad as Alito or Thomas, but that's not saying much.

You're absolutely right. I agree. But trust me, this has nothing to do with Barrett or Sotomayor. I am not, by any stretch of the imagination, a supporter of Amy Barrett. This has nothing to do with her. I promise. I, too, was blown away to see her sitting alongside Sotomayor introducing the scene that was about to be played out. I had to resist a knee-jerk reaction to turn it off. It's the first 7-8 minutes. Then the drama begins.

Maybe this will help: I found a 3-minute segment of the program. Here it is.

This could help you survive the next few weeks.

It appears that either: 1.) the mention of Amy Barrett's name scared people away, or 2.) a 55-minute video is too much to ask someone to watch. I suppose there's also the possibility that some here have watched it but were unimpressed. I still think it's a must watch.

By a twist of fate, I’m leaving for San Miguel, Mexico tomorrow and will be there until after the election. We’re going to celebrate the Dia de los Muertos, etc. I'm dread-filled and I don’t know why.
