I'm putting this question to the sphere, where all questions can be answered: If you forget your google blogger password (which I was dumb enough to do), is there a way to recover or change it?
Thanks, all-- |
Gail, just click on "Forget?" next to Password, and that will take you to a form for getting/re-setting your password.
|
Diane, the particular blog where I'm trying to leave a comment doesn't seem to have this "forget?" option. It just keeps telling me "incorrect password" & that's it.
I guess I'm out of luck until I try another blog. |
Ah, you didn't mention that this was a blog commenting issue. You can still post, but you will be posted as an anonymous poster. The workaround for that is just to sign your name as part of your post. Be sure to tell Google/Blogger that you do not wish to post as yourself--there will be an option--I think it's a drop-down menu.
|
If you have a blog of your own, then you use the same password for replies on other blogs. If you cannot find it by contacting google from the blog you are trying to comment on, you can go to your own blog and when you can't produce it there, there WILL be a "forgotten password" thingie you can click on and they will then email you your password.
|
Since I don't have a blog of my own (hey, I just recently got a website), the policy of signing my name to "anonymous" comments will work fine.
Thanks for the help, people. |
It just occurred to me, Gail, that I gave you poor advice. Open up Google, and at the top of the page, right-hand corner, you should see My Account. Click on that, and you'll be able to either retrieve or reset your password.
|
Thanks, Diane.
Here's another question none of my friends have been able to answer. How can I set up a sentence to run along the bottom of all my e-mail (such as a favorite line of poetry, which I could update from time to time)? |
It depends, Gail, on what type of mail you're using. Whatever it is, follow the directions for how to create an email signature. In Outlook Express and Windows Mail (which I use), you look at Tools, then Options.
