Let's see what everyone can do with this image. Thanks to Jerry for letting us use it:

I thought I'd try and turn it into an abstract: Cropped the image. Adjusted colours. Applied "Fresco" artistic filter from Adobe photoshop. Added borders. (Couldn't insert the image, for some reason - so had to create the link provided above) |
Very nice, Diana.

Diana,
I agree, your copy turned out very nice. I like how you have cropped the image to focus on the wheels and belt of the engine as your subject. Good work! Cheers! Shawn Nacona [This message has been edited by Shawn Stroud (edited January 26, 2007).] |
I tried to make this abstract as well. I cropped the image to how I liked it, played with color a little bit, and then I altered the picture using several Adobe programs. In the end I came up with about 8 images to narrow it down from, and I am still going to play with this image a little bit and see what I can do to it with a few 3D programs just for fun.

I used the source photo as a palette, everything is either pasted or cloned from it.

Sharon,
I love what you have done with this picture. You have taken the image apart and made your own creation out of it. Very creative, and the end result turned out quite nice! Thanks for sharing! Cheers! Shawn Nacona |
