Seeing the most recent threads and posts

It's been reported that a bug is making it difficult to see the most recent threads and posts. To be sure you always see them, click on the column heading "Last post" just above the poster's name that you see at the top of the board. That will sort them all in descending order of posting time.

Sorry about this. We're trying to fix it.

Additionally, to get more posts to show, go down to the very bottom of the screen for the DG board and find "display options." There are buttons for "sorted by" "sort order" and "from the" Our problem is that "from the" is stuck at "last day." Change it to some longer period.

Glad you mentioned this, Maryann. It seems to me that the material from this latest DG round is disappearing very quickly. I wanted to refer back to the interview with Aaron Poochigian, and it seems to be already gone.

Maryann, where is the button for "last post"? On a thread or in the top menu somewhere?

To find the "last post" button, first make sure you're in a forum, not on the main page. So let's say you're in the Distinguised Guest forum, looking at the list of threads. At the top of the list of threads--right above this sticky thread! there's a blue bar with these column headings: thread/thread starter, rating, last post, replies views. If you click on "Last Post," the threads will sort so that the thread most recently posted to will come next to top of the list (just under this sticky thread).

Gail, additionally, to get more posts to show, go down to the very bottom of the screen for the DG board and find "display options." There are buttons for "sorted by" "sort order" and "from the" Our problem is that "from the" is stuck at "last day." Change it to some longer period.

Does that help?

I can display the threads I want to see, but as I navigate I keep having to select the same options over and over.

I've just poked at the admin console again to try to get these threads to sort by last post time in descending order. They seem to be right, right now, as far as I can see. If they still look munged to others, let me know.
