Cutthroat?
No, this is not another discussion of high prices for poetry books. :)
The new forum I've been wishing for is a private one in which we could discuss publications, submissions, and editors. But we don't have it, so I'm going to go out on a limb and ask my question in public. Has anyone else had any dealings with Cutthroat? They've had my poems for 200 days and haven't replied to an e-mailed query at six months. (Mutter, growl, grumble.) |
No idea, Maryann, but the private forum idea is a very good one.
Send your poems somewhere else. They're being very rude. |
Thanks, Rory. I got some info by private e-mails as well.
There isn't an active campaign to get that private board, but I've received some suggestions and I'm keeping it at the back of my mind. |
I must say I had a similar experience with Cutthroat--7 or 8 months after I sent a submission, they published an issue (without my work in it) and I assumed I had been rejected. I queried them about the status of my submission and they said something on the order of "Oh, you weren't notified? So sorry. By the way, we declined your work."
I've submitted to them twice but don't plan to submit to them again. |
