Lovely issue. I particularly enjoyed Suzanne's piece. Turner was the kind of wonderful old Southern queen who never let on, yet never hid, and always insisted on his own dignity. I'd like very much to see "the porn," myself.

Very impressive, Alex.
What a great way to get to spend the rest of an otherwise cold and dreary afternoon. Thanks to you and to all involved for all the time, dedication and hard work which goes into producing such a joyous assortment of goodies. Lo |
Another beautiful production with tons of great content, Alex. This will be my weekend reading and listening.

Special kudos to Suzanne Doyle for arranging the festschrift in memory of Turner Cassity. Everyone should read Tim Steele's meditation on Nijinski's grave (and Heine's) in Montmartre Cemetary. For my part, it was a real pleasure to interview Stephen Edgar and John Beaton, who put a good deal of effort into their thoughtful responses. The new poems from each of them are very fine.
