It's a terrible situation for his family and friends - that he should just disappear like this.
When I think of him, a poet, gone missing on an oriental mountain, I can't help but recall this poem:
I asked the boy beneath the pines.
He said, "The master's gone alone herb picking,
somewhere on the mount,
cloud hidden,
whereabouts unknown."
