Well done, all of you. This Poetry Review guest editorship is good: things were getting fusty in that magazine, and now the windows and doors seem to have been thrown open. Having said that, last year they printed Alan Jenkins' 'Four Students' (nod to Hardy), which is one of the best poems I have ever read. Tim: 1 in 500 sounds about right: at New Walk we print less than 1%, and Poetry Review are one of the four or five 'biggest' poetry magazines in Britain. But one sensed previously that some people had significantly lowered odds and some significantly heightened ones, and that has changed, as different editors now get a chance to put their individual stamp on the thing.
