I've one that's the same as one of yours, Brian (True Git). I think it's about avoiding the obvious ones. I thought of Lice in Wonderland, but discarded it as being a bit too obvious. Notes on a Sandal likewise. Anyway, here's what I came up with:
O Bother, Where Art Thou? – The humorous adventures of an absent-minded 19th-century intellectual, Gussie Merry-Maitland.
Petty Woman – No piece of trivia is too small for our heroine. Comedy/quest at its best.
Owl – Shy (and gay) academic poet, Alwyn Guinea-Burr, takes to the poetry circuit like a duck to water. A real hoot!
True Git – Is this comedy or social realism? Whatever.
The Big Nose – Starring Gérard Depardieu.
The Trouble with Pies – What’s in those pies anyway? Journalist Crispin Rye goes undercover to find out.
The English Patent – No one is quite as good at Englishness as the English. But is it something others can acquire?
A Moth in the Country – The beauty of a single moth inspires a young man to lay aside his traumas.
