I think it's a lovely and, as others say, a memorable poem. Such vivid imagery. I've known it by heart since I was a teenager.
But, however, recognising Spike Milligan's take on this debate:
I must go down to the seas again,
To the lonely sea and the sky.
I left my pants and socks there:
I wonder if they're dry.
