You can't post anything, be it a poem or a comment, unless you're a member, but otherwise it's available to all and sundry to read what's on the site.
I agree, though, that work on a D & A thread shouldn't be regarded as "published"; it's a bit mean to penalise you all and I'm sorry to see that. You deserve the prizes!
