To See the Sea
I say yes, asked to see the sea,
Though phrased, “d'ya wanna see the shore?”
Sea, see us to tranquility!
To sea! unpeopled waves that roar!
Redundant shops line one boardwalk
Where motley crowds, fat families flock.
The surf is mosh-pit wild, like raves,
Yahoos crowd-surf, beached-bros abound.
It strikes me, like that ball, the waves
In which we're bathing are embrowned.
I heard the sea's salubrious,
But here that hope seems dubious.
It's not that Words-worthy-an ocean,
One's sea's New Jerseyan commotion!
Is it just me who's tainted sea?
Or is it tainted sea to see?
