There is a price for that in democracies and it will, even - perhaps particularly - in provincial England be exacted in 2022 at the latest. What do you imagine will be the reaction as the penny drops that Britain (or whatever the country is by then) has joined the illustrious company of - Mauritania, Palau, São Tomé and Principe, Somalia, South Sudan and East Timor - the only other states in the world not to be members of a regional trade agreement. Even North Korea has had more sense.
I note that you, at last, concede that there will be another Scottish independence referendum, but it and/or independence will come well before 2022. I reckon we'll be gone by 2020 and then you can have Theresa all to yourself, for Ireland may well have gone as well by that time.
