This afternoon one of my neighbours held a sale of ladies' second-hand clothing, in aid of the Alzheimer's Society. It raised over £300 ($425).
I bought a designer-label 3-piece jacket, skirt and camisole top, brand new with the original price tags of £246.50 ($341.49) for just £15.00 ($20.78), along with several other bargains.
We had lots of fun, and everyone was happy to pay more than the [very cheap] asking prices, for such a good cause. My only problem was sneaking a large bagful of stuff past my husband, to whom I'd promised I would buy only ONE item!
I shall just have to resort to that old chestnut: "A new dress?? No, darling, ...I've had this for
ages!"
(The contents of my wardrobe are an unknown quantity, ...even to ME!)

PS. And it's now Mothers day in the UK (or Mothering Sunday), so in a few hours' time I will be "thoroughly spoiled" by my children! That's what I call a good weekend
