Extreme Sonnet Anthology now available
Got sonnets?
You’re invited to submit a batch of your best sonnets for the upcoming sonnet anthology I’ll be editing. Submission guidelines and deadline can be found at RhizomePress.com (near the bottom).
I’m looking for sonnets that are true to form, with rhymes that are actual rhymes (not eye or slant rhymes), reasonably strict iambic (or perhaps trochaic) pentameter, and tight language. I prefer vivid imagery, smart metaphor, interesting musicality, and lines beginning with upper case (though the latter isn't required). Each poem should be titled and stand on its own—no sequence poems, please. (Though if you title each sonnet, how would we know? You're welcome to mention in your bio that they're part of a sequence.)
I do hope you’ll submit! And stay tuned for guidelines for the next anthology of formal poetry planned for next year.
Cheers, and stay well!
