I don't know what the best solution is. The best I can think of is that each time our list is replaced and a new updated begins, the previous updater should announce at the top of the old list that is no longer up-to-date and give the number of the post where the current list can be found.
What I know for sure is that I initially volunteered to update the list for 10 posts and when people continued to post after that, ignoring that the list was no longer being updated, and we reached a further ten posts, I jumped in again for a further 20--the ten that had been posted since I'd abdicated and the following ten. When we reach 151, I'm done.
