Default Mahler's Symphony No. 2 for Easter, April 2

Hey, friends!

My local public radio station, KPBS, will be rebroadcasting the San Diego Master Chorale's 2010 performance of Mahler's Symphony No. 2 ('Resurrection') with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra on Easter Sunday (April 4), for free.

If you're not familiar with the piece, this hilarious intro will quickly get you up to speed:

And here's a more serious take, but still with a lot more references to fish in the Third Movement than your typical Easter homily:

It's really a remarkable piece.

I know that 8pm Pacific Daylight Time (GMT +8) is not convenient for everyone, but the SDSO will probably post an on-demand link on this website the next day.

(I'm listening to their re-broadcast of our 2019 performance of Puccini's 'Glorious Mass' as I type this. I'm hoping an on-demand link will show up on that page tomorrow. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't....)
