That's quite a project you've undertaken, Damian.

Here are a couple. Another by Wendy Cope:

Favourite

When they ask me, ‘Who’s your favourite poet?’
I’d better not mention you.
Though you certainly are my favourite poet
And I like your poems too.

And "Self Pity" by D.H. Lawrence:

I never saw a wild thing
sorry for itself.
A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough
without ever having felt sorry for itself.
