Default The Ekphrastic Review

I'm pleased to report that my "Ballade Supreme for a Supergroup" was published yesterday in honor of the Feast of the Epiphany, a.k.a. Three Kings Day:

The Ekphrastic Review has also accepted my translations of poems by Degas and Machiavelli, plus my sonnet about the 9/11 memorial in Padua that made me say "huh"? I'll let you know when these get published this year. (The 9/11 poem is scheduled for 9/11, if you want to mark your calendar now, heh.)

All four poems were workshopped here. Thanks very much for the nudges to improve them.

If you are interested in this venue, it is open to submissions only during the months of January, April, July, and October, and the editors now charge a $5 CAD (about $3.70 USD) fee per submission to help cover their costs. They define "ekphrasis" or "ekphrastic" as "creative writing inspired by visual art," saying "Performative, musical, or moving picture arts, such as symphonies, cinema, or dance are amazing, but outside of our niche." The editors told me that they were particularly happy to receive translations.
