There's a suggestion by the narrator that this wasn't always the case, but now, yes, it concentrates on those it 'thinks' are connected to the Trade. Any thoughts on making it less hard?
and two, the name of the shadow itself.
It doesn't have a name, it's just the Shadow.
I don't know if you know this but there was long ago an American radio show called "The Shadow."
I did, but only because I had the misfortune to see the film version they made of it back in the 90's.
I haven't heard the saying in quite a while, though.
I don't think it's one that made it's way across the pond.
