MLA was fun. I presented a paper on the Palestinian novel Days of Dust by Halim Barakat. The panel I participated in was "The Six-Day War: Forty Years Later" and dealt with literature from that particular conflict. Some interesting perspectives.
What was an added perk was that I got a copy of Alicia's translation of Lucertius for $5.00 (and Fagles translation of The Aeneid for the some price).
