UNPUBLISHED POEM BY HAMLET
It turns out my uncle
murdered my Dad
and married my mother.
That's why I'm sad,
somewhat distrustful
and yes, sanctimonious.
Why, only yesterday
I killed Polonius,
my uncle's conspirator,
my girlfriend's father.
But now I'm left wondering
why I should bother
pushing Act Five
to its tragic conclusion
when my Dad's angry ghost
may have been an illusion?
