I've added a correction to my previous statement--Paul Lake only retired from his teaching job. He remains poetry editor at First Things, a publication whose stance on several topics poets would be wise to investigate before they submit work there. But on this particular topic, that was precisely the audience I wanted to reach, and I appreciated Paul's courage in accepting my poem.
My apologies to Cathy for talking about me me me in her thread. Hooray for Cathy!
