Default What’s overhead

Tonight Neptune, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mercury are all currently retrograde; Venus is coming out from behind the Sun but is currently just about blocked by Mercury. All the gas giants (Neptune, Saturn, Jupiter) are in more or less in the same part of the sky. It is northern hemisphere summer, and the earth’s motion around the sun is at some angle in relation to the solar system’s motion around the galactic center. I will have to think and draw pictures to figure out that angular aspect, but it will recur (and has recurred) yearly for thousands of years. Eventually, that will slowly change too.
