Yeah, hard to call The Kinks punk per se when they were recording in the 60s. But punk has seeds. I am also a fan of Iggy Pop and of The Modern Lovers.
I saw The Pretenders in concert right after Farndon and Honeyman-Scott died, and Learning to Crawl came out. They were very good.
