Most of us who hang around here know that the publications and contests run by the University of Evansville Press have been and still are important to poets, especially to formal poets. The Nemerov contest and
Measure are much missed; Measure Press, the
Evansville Review, and the Willis Barnstone Translation Prize continue to be great opportunities. Chances are we would lose them if the big budget cuts rumored to be in the offing at UE became realities.
I've been reading about all this on social media, with growing concern. So I'm providing a link to the site where one can learn more about how to help the UE faculty head off potentially disastrous decisions.
