Default Deep End Posts of Poets Past

I will post to the Deep End, just as soon as I qualify, not with any degree of self-worth or evaluation but to honor the spirits of Murphy, Sullivan, Kenny ,Golias, Beaton, Stallings and more who knew what this great place entailed and meant.

Not for them the whimpering coyness of tendering to a forum that allowed, indeed encouraged, a remedial, anodized, cosseting critique safe from the visceral dissemination of an EFH.

This hallowed place is empty, a forlorn echo remains, a poor remnant of the talent and integrity that prevailed. It was tough at times, and many left with their tails drooping, but good poets stayed and became better poets for all of it.

What Mezey, Wilbur, Kennedy, Kerrigan, Steele, Davis and so many other luminaries come here now.? Where is the Murphy to bring them?

What point a Shallow End as someone suggested? It’s there a already.

It is a strange inversion of principle and dereliction of a fine resource to post all to a forum where a genteel reception is advertised and enjoyed.

Jim
