Default Better Than Starbucks

I'm pleased to advise that two of my Heine translations will appear in the January issue of Better Than Starbucks. Wow! This is breaking new ground for me. Both made the light of day on the Sphere back in the Adam Elgar days when the Translation forum was singing.

Congratulations, Peter, that's great. And I miss Adam Elgar too, not least his Gaspara Stampa translations.

Congrats, Peter and John. I also have a poem that will appear in the issue entitled "Panhandler," which was workshopped here not too long ago. The finished version is a bit different from those older drafts, but I am grateful for the generous feedback, which definitely helped me get it jelled.

Congratulations, Peter. I hope the translation forum will someday return to being a more frequented place. The old competitions were good at stimulating participation, but they need someone to organize them.

Thanks Susan. Yes, without wider participation and exchange, the forum loses its very raison d'être. A pity.
