Default Maryann Corbett in Poetry Daily

Maryann Corbett has an excellent poem featured on Poetry Daily today, from the current issue of the PN Review. Here's the link. Congrats, Maryann!

Very nicely done, Maryann.

As for the Creed; well, yes. I too have always valued how the NT specifies that not one jot or tittle of holy text shall be changed, and the rift that split the early church, and gave us the Creed, was precisely over one iota: homoousios vs. homoiousios. Big things turn on little things in the end.

Cheers,
John

Thanks for the shout-out, Nausheen, and for the kind words, Susan and John. I’m at Poetry by the Sea this week, and it’s great fun that this feature was so aptly timed.

I am sorry to miss Poetry by the Sea. I had originally meant to attend it, but the strains of selling a house, packing up all its contents and those of my office, and moving four hundred miles away just this past weekend meant that I couldn't manage a conference at this time. I had also planned to take Dick Davis's workshop at it, but he withdrew, so that was another factor in my decision. I can't attend the West Chester conference, either, because it is at the same time as my only niece's wedding. So this year I will miss out on seeing any of my poetry friends, which I am quite sorry about. Enjoy the conference.

Susan

Oh that's wonderful Maryann. I'm partial to Nestorius myself.
