A couplet of constraints as a challenge:
1. Two lines, whatever "line" may mean to you,
2. And, sensual, that dream some couples do.

Hi Frank -
I'm game. I can't sleep, so I'll go first.
Drink to me only with thine thighs
Sue sang to some well-hung, thirsty guys
I have a feeling I can only be silly with sensual couplets.
Anne

Nice!
I am just beginning to realize the difficulties my inner child is having getting something past my inner censor.
Here's one the kid proposed, which the adult didn't think worked, except for the title.
Cicada Lover
Oh, cicada, your eyes big and red--
Oops! I squashed you! I guess you are dead.
------
The next one the kid proposed, the censor wouldn't allow, which proved the kid was older than I thought, but this one got by.
Breeze Across the Mind
The breeze blows up her thin white dress.
This lifts and makes his mind a mess.

Well, I'm not sure who the kid is, but you made
me think of Elton John and his song about Marilyn
Monroe-your-boat, Goodbye Norma Jean.... "I would have
liked to have known you, but I was just a kid..."
However,my next couplet will not be about
blowing candles or any such thing
Some couplets swim into my head
and make me want to go to bed!

Mirror, Mirror
A narcissist’s ambition:
avoid the competition.
The mirror of a narcissist
reflects what he cannot resist.
The lust of every narcissist?
To be both kisser and the kissed.
A narcissist’s reflection
is a narcissist’s perfection.
Cheers,

When I lived in Japan, I assumed it immutable,
that the women one came with were quiet, but scrutable.
In Praise of Certain Poets
He's here just for the open bar,
The Phantom of the Seminar.

Michael,
Too funny! Well, maybe there's no such thing as TOO funny.

The morning streets are noisy with surprise,
As warm in bed, she wakes to lover's eyes.

On two rails with planks lay blue, crumpled slacks
where a northbound train whistles down the tracks
Frank, I'm getting a guilt complex! Thanx a lot!

Beside the tracks one hundred yards of body parts
is what occurs when lovers only hear their hearts.
