I've learned that I can't even write in couplets,
I wanted twins and wound up with sex tuplettes.

He turned to leave politely at her door.
She kissed him, moved him back. He's back for more.

Some ladies still appreciate a certain kind of fellow
Whose passion is exuberance mixed with meekness, mild and mellow
BTW, Frank, thanks for your comment on my Perseid Promise poem over on MET.
I am thanking you here so as not to needlessly bump it back up.

A Judas Kiss
The ocean wind's a kiss of promise to the mariner:
a harlot's gesture which the fool accepts as his alone.
Lured by crestless swells he tumbled to her furrow: she sucked
his strength and left him resting, breathless on her salt-stained bed.

A malcontent relies on a red herring
to spoil the fun of those who came for merrying
This was supposed to have been a thread of sensual couplets, wasn't it? I seem to have been knocked off track by a UFO

A couplet's such a strait-laced thing;
Can't we go straight to coupling?

There is no legal way for them to wed,
But that won't keep them off the wedding bed.

Last night back home unduly late,
Eyes pick through breakfast doubts and hate.
Anne, any ideas for a new challenge? What this taught me is that I don't really know what "sensual" is.
