My memory is dim. I think it’s Fawn not Faun, and in Tinker Tailor not in Spy. Google seems to bear that out. The list without Fawn is 25 names. Only 4 names contain the letter ‘n’, and of those 4, only Mundt is prominent and then only towards the end.

At one point Leamas vocalizes the spelling of his name: “That’s L-E-A and only one S.” Pronounced Lee-mass and spelled Leamas.

Fawn it was. I was misremembering because of the "dancing faun" which was the table centerpiece at a WWII British scheming room. There are photos. Might have been le Carre's little joke.
