Nope. Not Mary Oliver (thankfully). Thanks for the link to the Campo review!

Congrats, and thanks for the notice. Here's a good link to the EJ review, which I read with interest.
Cathy, you're being naughty. I consider Mary Oliver a religious poet of sorts, and a successful one. She just died, as you probably know.

Michael,
I know she died recently.
I'm not being "naughty", simply expressing my honest opinion.
As you have.
As we all have a right to.

It's not the opinion I object to; it's the gratuitous shot.

Great take on Rafael Campo whose poems I always assign in undergraduate poetry courses. I hadn't realized a selected volume was out. Heading to Amazon.
Elizabeth Jennings has haunted my Amazon wish list for a while. It sounds as if the biography is a mixed bag, though useful, but I have to stop procrastinating & get hold of the Collected Poems....
For both reviews, thanks, Mike!

Michael,
Did you actually read the review? I simply agree with Mike's aside.
Don't lecture me, either.

Cathy, I did read Mike’s Campo piece. I repeat my point: I don’t understand why praise of one poet requires denigration of another. I think it would be a different question if the subject were Oliver; as it stands, it’s a gratuitous shot at her. That is my point, and my opinion, and there I hope to leave it.
I did enjoy reading the reviews and again I congratulate you, Mike. Thanks for posting them.

Michael F, it doesn't "require" it any more than you were required to play schoolmarm to Catherine, but it's an available option.
Michael J, thanks for the review. I knew little or nothing about Campo and am happy for the introduction.
